PDHPE (Physical Development, Health and PE)

The PDHPE curriculum is vital for supporting students’ physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. It helps children develop fundamental movement skills, maintain fitness, understand healthy lifestyles, and build the knowledge to make positive choices about their health.

PDHPE also plays a key role in fostering emotional growth. Through activities that encourage teamwork, resilience, communication, and problem-solving, students learn to manage emotions, build confidence, and develop respectful relationships.

At Balgowlah North, our PDHPE program combines structured skill development with engaging, enjoyable activities. Lessons are tailored to different abilities and interests, ensuring every child is challenged and supported. By integrating games, sports, movement challenges, and health education, students not only develop physical competence but also cultivate a lifelong appreciation for health, wellbeing, and personal growth.

We also provide our students with the opportunity to be involved in a number of fun, challenging carnivals and interschool spotting competition and gala days throughout the year.
