Learning support
Learning Support plays a vital role in helping students access the curriculum and reach their full potential. Our teachers excel in meeting diverse needs through differentiated learning structures and thoughtful planning. At times, students may require additional support beyond the adjustments their classroom teacher provides, and this support is provided by our Learning and Support Teachers and Student Learning Support Officers. We pride ourselves on regular monitoring of student progress to identify areas of need and plan our learning support interventions in response to emerging areas of need across our classes.
Support that fits your child's needs
Additional learning support can include:
- small group tutoring to provide targeted literacy and numeracy support for students
- specialist support for students learning English as an additional language or dialect (EAL/D)
- specialist teachers for hearing and vision
- providing tailored programs to help high potential and gifted students with their advanced learning needs
Adjustments are planned with parents and carers. They are reviewed regularly and changed when needed. If you think your child may need extra help, contact us.

- Counselling or educational assessments with our school psychologist
- Applying for additional funding or access to one-on-one support
- Accessible classrooms, assistive technology or modified learning resources
